(19,204 posts)The party formerly known as republicans (now Trumpublicans) are really scraping the bottom of the barrel.
MTG, Gaetz, Boebert et al. have paved the way for the scum of the country to step forward to be counted. 🤪
I wish they'd all step backward beneath the rocks they were hiding under.

(19,204 posts)usually the same ridiculous sounds over and over, because they're not clever enough to come up with any decent sounding fake "tongue."
There never were any of these phony "tongues," nor will there ever be any. They just make stuff up because it was mentioned in the bible somewhere and they want to sound like "real" christians must have sounded.
They're freaking loonies, is what they are. 🙄

(19,204 posts)one moment of your life was wasted on someone like that.
We all make our mistakes, and I know I've surely made my share, of allowing those types of people to suck the goodness out of our hearts. But we learn, and we grow, and we direct our energies to those who honestly deserve them from there on.
You're a wonderful Democrat, and whatever heartache that person may have caused you, you've more than gained in love and respect ever since from those you've helped.
Never let those people wear you down.

(22,156 posts)didn't want religion and government to mix, being that so many of them came from Europe where religion and governments were intermixed. Our founders didn't want this in our Country.

(22,156 posts)Then I moved to STLMO, where the city is dominated by Catholics. It was a learning experience for me definitely. I was out for lunch w/ another friend, and we walked by a guy who has the ash mark on his forehead, I didn't know about the ash thing, and I was going to turn around and go tell the guy that he had a little dirt on his head. My friend laughed and No, R, it's Ash Wednesday (or whatever day it was).
So many religions, so many teachings, so much to learn. Almost confusing. My mom raised us to be agnostic, respect everything. My belief is now that so many things are 'too perfect', that I do believe that some higher force is present, which gives me a feeling of reassurance, which during the turbulent times of today, I wonder.

(14,025 posts)I grew up Catholic and can still find peace when I need it in the Catholic Mass even though I dont believe most of it. Luckily, most Catholics around here, including the priest I believe, are liberal. But yeah I tend to think theres a higher power but other than that I dont know any specifics lol.

(14,586 posts)The biggest challenge here is deciding who among them is the worst.
George Riley is the grossest.
But this Ormes - he kind of reminds me of Julius Streicher, who was a total thug in Hitler's Nazi Germany, and always carried a whip.
On a cheerful note, though, I just watched Nicolle Wallace on MSNBC. She had Chasten Buddigeig on - what an excellent surrogate he is! Also she showed Kamala Harris speaking to a group of people in AZ and she had them going.
