David...David...David Ignatius on...on...on Mourning Joe:

His…halting…cadence is designed to…to…make you think that he’s carefully…contemplating every nuance of every word. Extremely annoying.

I used to know this guy who spoke that way and one day I said to him: Why don’t you think and consider what you want to say and then, only then, say it, instead of wasting my time while you’re choosing your words.

Phoney, empty vessel. He’s not said one thing ever that any reasonably up to date informed individual couldn’t say, no matter the political viewpoint. Shallow…but…he…speaks…slowly so therefore he’s “learn-ed”.

Keeping you on the edge of your seat in expectation of something very important. I take this to be a conservative construct. Greenspan used it ... "extraordinary ...extraordinary ... extraordinary ..."

But others use it as well. "which we can relate to ... relate to ... relate to ... the way in which you do" blah blah blah.

One of her sons is the same way. Thankfully, not the one I married!

a thing he said. All I could think was a good coat of Benjamin Moore could take care of that monstrosity.

Poppy Bush is in the WH. To him the GOP is still the party of national security because that's all he knows.

He has nothing useful to offer.

did a good job in the Middle East during Trump’s term?
I generally suspect what great work a public servant has done when he ends up with 2 billion bucks in his pocket.

Director Ridley Scott adapted into a film one of Ignatius' books "Body of Lies", starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Russel Crowe, Oscar Isaac, Mark Strong and others --good Middle East spy story. Anyway he seems a good writer even if some don't care for his speech style. He' written 11 novels, something like that ...Meanwhile, I'll take a funny talker over a shit talker any day
