(32,917 posts)This thing didn't happen until after Chump was out of office. Presidential pardons never work for future indictments and that's what this is. Steve Bannon will answer for this. Also I believe someone else from this scam has already gotten the plea bargain. So no deals for Stevie-Boy, he goes down.

(11,485 posts)Bannons trial in the We Build the Wall case will start May 27, 2024, right after the former president is scheduled to stand trial in the same Manhattan courtroom in an unrelated criminal case.
Bannon, 69, pleaded not guilty last September following his indictment on state money laundering, conspiracy, fraud and other charges. Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg took up the case after Bannons federal prosecution was cut short by a Trump pardon. Presidential pardons apply only to federal crimes, not state

"The purpose was to make the project more businesslike, it seems. Allen and his team were swiftly ejected and a new CEO was literally helicoptered in: Steve Bannon. Yes, that Steve Bannon. Investment banker, future right-wing operator and Donald Trump strategist. As a metaphor for the fate of the planet, it could hardly be more apt."
