(32,109 posts)20 years ago. The UN does not give a shit about what happens to black Africa. They just don't. They didn't care about Sudan back in the day, Rwanda, etc. etc. Hell - they don't even care about black people in America.

When you have had to interact with them as I have - you just know these things.
Perhaps the point of disagreement is that your definition of a Domestic Dispute differs from mine?
I've had one eye sideways at the UN since 1994 - and at 51 years of age? I'm not changing my position on it. We may just have to agree to disagree.

Simply raising awareness of an issue and demanding the US use its influence, whether directly or through the UN, has been done for various human rights issues.
Yet when we hear of ongoing genocide, it seems only immigrants and refugees from the country show up, unless...
