On Monday night, all eyes in Cannes will be on the launch of “The Apprentice,” the high-profile drama that stars Sebastian Stan as a young Donald Trump. The filmmakers and stars haven’t done any press on the ground at Cannes ahead of the film’s world premiere, and few have seen it, with plot details shrouded in mystery.
But one person who has seen it is Dan Snyder, the billionaire former owner of the Washington Commanders who is an investor in “The Apprentice.” And he isn’t happy.
Behind the scenes, a nasty battle has played out between the Snyder-backed company Kinematics and the filmmakers over the creative direction of the film. “The Apprentice,” directed by Ali Abbasi, covers Trump’s early years when he was mentored by political fixer Roy Cohn (Jeremy Strong) and his marriage to his first wife, Ivana (Maria Bakalova).
Sources say Snyder, a friend of Trump’s who donated $1.1. million to his inaugural committee and Trump Victory in 2016 and $100,000 to his 2020 presidential campaign, put money into the film via Kinematics because he was under the impression that it was a flattering portrayal of the 45th president. Snyder finally saw a cut of the film in February and was said to be furious. Kinematics’ lawyers were enlisted to fight the release of “The Apprentice,” and the cease-and-desist letters began flying. Kinematics president Emanuel Nuñez insists that the creative impasse between his company and the filmmakers didn’t involve Snyder. “All creative and business decisions involving ‘The Apprentice’ have always been and continue to be solely made by Kinematics. Mark and I run our company without the involvement of any other third parties.”

Dan Snyder is angered by a filmmaker because the picture depicts the violent rape alleged by Ivana Trump at the hands of then-husband Donald Trump. It seems to me Dan Snyder is angry at the wrong person.

It is the sort of photo politicians have long been known to favour: adorable baby, thumbs up, big smiles.
Few, however, would surely pose this way in such grave circumstances.

The infant’s adopted parents, Andre and Jordan Anchondo, were both killed in the supermarket massacre, while he himself suffered broken bones when Ms Anchondo fell on the child to shield him from further bullets.
But when the baby, called Paul, was brought to the US president at the University Medical Center of El Paso, the 73-year-old appeared untouched by the child’s tragic plight. Both he and first lady Melania smiled for cameras, while the commander-in-chief also threw in a thumbs up.

Just 1-percent interest on a billion smackers is $10 million per. So, if Dan the Cable Man has a competent dart thrower at a favorite hedge fund that returns 8 percent annually makes his money grow by $80 million per. With tax breaks and accounting wizardry, who knows how much that can be?
Imagine the benefits enjoyed by the rich who can hire the experts needed to "invest" money into the illegal drug trade. I've heard they were able to double and triple their dough on each deal.

Jeffrey Epstein said in an unaired interview that he distanced himself from former President Donald Trump after realizing Trump was "a crook," according to his brother, Mark Epstein.
Mark Epstein told Insider he viewed a clip of the interview, conducted by Trump's former White House advisor Steve Bannon, after his brother forwarded it to him in the spring of 2019.
At the time, Bannon was conducting filmed interviews with the now-dead pedophile financier. Bannon sent Jeffrey Epstein a Dropbox link to a clip, which he forwarded to his brother. The link is no longer active, according to Mark.
"Jeffrey showed me the link to one of these interviews," Mark Epstein said. "And in that interview, Jeffrey said he stopped hanging out with Trump when he realized Trump was a crook."

Social media users aren’t happy with Washington Commanders’ ex-owner Dan Snyder. Although Snyder made a $49 million mansion donation for the noble cause, many mocked him for his “great deeds.”
Earlier in July 2023, Snyder sold his Washington franchise to a group led by Josh Harries, which also included Magic Johnson. This sale was pulled in the market for a record-breaking amount of $6.05 billion, which is the highest ever paid for a professional sports team in North America. This move was done as a result of his firing from the league for alleged financial improprieties and other charges. Now, once again, he is back in the news, selling off his other multi-million dollar home.
The Commanders’ former owner, Dan Snyder, donated his mansion in Maryland to the American Cancer Society. Snyder sold the mansion eight months after selling the team. He bought part of the property in 2001 from the estate of King Hussein and Queen Noor of Jordan for $8.64 million. Over time, he acquired more land, totaling 15 acres. The mansion, known as River House, spans 30,000 sq. feet and was completed in 2004.
Snyder lived there for almost 20 years before putting it up for sale in February 2023 for $49 million. After six months on the market, he reduced the price to $34.9 million. However, now, as per the reports, he sold off his luxurious mansion to the American Cancer Society, helping the needy.

Unable to sell the place for what he asked, he lowerd the price. When that didn't speed the sale, he "donated" it to the ACS. Now the billionaire gets to write it off his taxes. Hurray US tax code.
