Team Trump Vows to Sue 'Pretend Filmmakers' Behind 'The Apprentice'

Source: Daily Beast

Updated May 21, 2024 2:49AM EDT / Published May 20, 2024 11:41PM EDT

As if Donald Trump wanted to spend more time in court, his campaign is now threatening to sue the makers of The Apprentice after it was reported that the biopic, which premiered at Cannes on Monday, features a scene in which Sebastian Stan’s Trump violently rapes his first wife.

“We will be filing a lawsuit to address the blatantly false assertions from these pretend filmmakers,” campaign spokesman Steven Cheung told The Daily Beast on Monday night. “This garbage is pure fiction which sensationalizes lies that have been long debunked.”

Cheung went on to blast the film as “election interference by Hollywood elites” on the same level as the criminal charges brought against Trump in four separate cases over the last year, which Cheung termed “the illegal Biden Trials.”

“This ‘film’ is pure malicious defamation, should not see the light of day, and doesn’t even deserve a place in the straight-to-DVD section of a bargain bin at a soon-to-be-closed discount movie store,” Cheung spat, “it belongs in a dumpster fire.”

Frivolous lawsuits like this are what Team Pussygrabber does,
so I see a better than 50% chance of a suit being filed
and the lawyers getting sanctioned again.

Not familiar with the works of its director, but a quick glance shows that he touches on some pretty dark themes. Looks interesting in that it deals with Roy Cohn (portrayed wonderfully by James Woods in the 90s HBO film, Citizen Cohn)

As per wiki...

Set during the early years of Trump's business career, the film is reported to mainly focus on the relationship of Trump and Roy Cohn, a New York City prosecutor notable for working with Senator Joseph McCarthy during the Second Red Scare. It is described as "a mentor-protégé narrative that documents the start of an American dynasty and tackles themes including power, corruption and deception."

(on edit: didn't locate trailer, but some info about it is currently trending)

Then they call it "election interference", or "grooming", or "pornography", or "woke".

Seems simple enough: Show us the original long form of your divorce papers, Mr Trump (if that is indeed your name).

"... despite what she filed in the divorce, before there was a financial agreement". Seems the film-makers have a pretty strong case, after the Carroll verdict.

There's really none of the bluster and cruelty that he picked up as a politician. Just shows how phony and power mad he is. And I'm not surprised about the lawsuit at all. Trump is sue crazy.

So Trump now promotes some tiny film that was going nowhere by suing the makers and making them much more money. GOOD JOB, DJT!!
