As if Donald Trump wanted to spend more time in court, his campaign is now threatening to sue the makers of The Apprentice after it was reported that the biopic, which premiered at Cannes on Monday, features a scene in which Sebastian Stans Trump violently rapes his first wife.
We will be filing a lawsuit to address the blatantly false assertions from these pretend filmmakers, campaign spokesman Steven Cheung told The Daily Beast on Monday night. This garbage is pure fiction which sensationalizes lies that have been long debunked.
Cheung went on to blast the film as election interference by Hollywood elites on the same level as the criminal charges brought against Trump in four separate cases over the last year, which Cheung termed the illegal Biden Trials.
This film is pure malicious defamation, should not see the light of day, and doesnt even deserve a place in the straight-to-DVD section of a bargain bin at a soon-to-be-closed discount movie store, Cheung spat, it belongs in a dumpster fire.

(62,093 posts)Frivolous lawsuits like this are what Team Pussygrabber does,
so I see a better than 50% chance of a suit being filed
and the lawyers getting sanctioned again.

Here's hoping him drawing more attention to it helps the country and not him.
Torchlight
(3,651 posts)Not familiar with the works of its director, but a quick glance shows that he touches on some pretty dark themes. Looks interesting in that it deals with Roy Cohn (portrayed wonderfully by James Woods in the 90s HBO film, Citizen Cohn)
As per wiki...
(on edit: didn't locate trailer, but some info about it is currently trending)

(9,562 posts)There's really none of the bluster and cruelty that he picked up as a politician. Just shows how phony and power mad he is. And I'm not surprised about the lawsuit at all. Trump is sue crazy.
