for the first time, I was actually starting to respect Mitt Romney. During the campaign, he really nailed it when it came to Trump and I thought, maybe the guy does have character and integrity.

This is beyond disappointing. He is just like all the rest, fawning over the crude and vulgar king, hoping a crumb will be tossed his way. Mitt, the guy is making a fool out of you and apparently you deserve it.

Romney is diplomatic and though conservative would not be a total embarrassment on the world stage. He did once head up the Olympic Committee and has some limited experience dealing with foreign representatives.

I think he's calm and cool-headed, probably the best we can hope for in a Trump secretary of state. If he has to suck up to get the appointment over dangerous hotheads, I see why he would do so, and not necessarily for selfish reasons.
