Now a scorpion hiding in your sneaker is a different story.

(91,687 posts)12. I watched my brother do that on my front porch once
A spider had taken up residence there & I didnt want to kill her. But every day I would take a stick and dismantle the web thinking shed take the hint and move. Sometimes Id actually catch her in the web on the stick and would deposit her in a bush.
This was a really, really persistent spider, though. As far as she was concerned, the entire porch was hers and she sized her web accordingly.
Bro comes up on the porch one night and I see him jumping up and down and waving his arms like mad. Shed finally done it caught an adult human!
God that was funny. But I put on an apologetic face, and the next day was the end of the persistent spider.
