1. It's been that way for 40 years

Basically, get there before 05:00 and you’ll be at Muir before noon. Otherwise you’re just one more tourist on the Panorama Point trail in September.

I endured the $10 fee, the $15 fee, the $90 passes, the $35 permits to park, etc.

Man, I have 40 year old stories of climbing that magnificent lady.

40 years ago we arrived after 19:00 and slept the lot in the back of a truck drinking a 6-pack and looking at the stars before the big hump.

Those were the days.
