(28,970 posts)49. I worked for LBJ and the League of Women Voters, starting in college.
I mostly blockwalked for Democrats, and worked
voter rolls at the local precinct.
I've marched, blockwalked, demonstrated, worked
at election locations, etc, for many years until my
old body finally gave out.
It was fun too.

I volunteered for JFK too, Mineral Man. Got to see him in person from the third balcony rafters....
