In reply to the discussion: Christie Crime Digest-Vol. I [View all]Laxman
(2,419 posts)129. We've Reached 50!
The 50th entry in the Christie Crime Digest and its a beauty. The federal prosecutors have finally turned their sites to Mr. Samson and his 1001 Ways to Get' Rich Quick infomercial disguised as his career.
The embattled chairman of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey and close ally to Gov. Chris Christie, David Samson, has been subpoenaed by federal prosecutors in Manhattan as part of a newly disclosed investigation, according to the Wall Street Journal.
Citing sources, the report said the subpoena seeks records related to potential conflicts of interest between Samson, who has been under the microscope since the September lane closings at the George Washington Bridge, and his private law firm, Wolff & Samson.
A representative for Samson declined comment to the newspaper, but provided a statement from his attorney, Michael Chertoff, that said, "We are not commenting on the progress of investigations." The scope of the investigation was unclear, the report said.

and this gem:
Samson and his law firm have surfaced in both matters, but he was not known to be a target of prosecutors. The newest investigation, being undertaken by the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York, suggests he now may be a target.
