Several years ago I was at a science fiction thing in Albuquerque, and was at a booth with some interesting stuff. I started chatting with the couple who ran it, and it turned out that he and I had graduated from Amphi the same year, and had somehow never ever known or even heard of each other.
Several years later, at our 50th h.s. reunion, we were both there and could greet each other.

My dad made me take Latin also, but I really liked it and I'm glad I learned it.

I should look up if they ever taught Latin in NYC schools. Maybe earlier on (was in JHS in '67)

Latin wasn't offered in our school at all. JH and HS had French, German and Spanish. Pittsburgh area.
