I have been thinking - I have over the course of many, many years known 3 Neiman Fellows. Note: Neiman Fellows are "leading" journalists who receive an appointment to do graduate work at Harvard. Also, I think he has probably become aware that a large segment of the population just thinks he is a fool and this course correction is an attempt to become a little more weighty. Unless he gets his meds corrected it won't work. By late afternoon he exhibits "poor impulse control" and a tendency for "inappropriate response".

Also, he has to be embarrassed/pissed that Libby called Tim R. (just another GE broadcast whore) to complain about him. In other words, Tweety is not even important enough to get the phone call directly. How embarrassing.
