Gingrich, Romney Among New 'Wash Times' Rotating Columnists

By Joe Strupp
February 11, 2009

NEW YORK The Washington Times has launched a new rotating column on its opinion page that will provide essays from conservative voices that include the likes of Newt Gingrich, Mitt Romney and Jeb Bush.

Wednesday marked the first installment of "Reinventing Conservatism," described as a series that will "showcase a revolving series of essays by some of today's biggest thinkers in the conservative movement."

"The inaugural column, entitled 'Where Does the Conservative Movement Go from Here?' was written by former House Speaker Newt Gingrich," a release states. "He implored conservatives across the country to move beyond just opposing policies of the new administration and Congress and demonstrate they can apply traditional conservative principles to solve the 21st century's biggest challenges."

Writes Gingrich in the piece: "Conservatives need even more bold and comprehensive solutions."

More than a dozen other major conservatives have agreed to participate in the project, a release added, noting they will each provide one column every four months. Others include Mississippi Gov. Haley Barbour, former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, activist David Keene, Republican Sen. Jim DeMint and congressmen Eric Cantor, Mike Pence, Thad McCotter and John Shaddegg.

.....

Get ready for the propaganda flood.

It won't merely be confined to the Washington Times. It'll be on TV, the "liberal media" and spew radio 24/7/365.
