for some reason we struck a rich vein of conservatives on
June 5, and ALL of the following mail came in on that day.
We must be doing something right. By the way, if your mail
didn't make it onto this page, we're sorry. As you know, we're
sheep who are terrified of opposing viewpoints and can't handle
the truth, and the argument you put forth was too witty and
intellectual for us. And now...

know if this qualifies for your Hate Mailbag (since I consider
myself more of a moderate libertarian than a republican conservative),
but it seems to me that too much of your time and energy is
spent smeering dissenters than actually refuting their claims.

I was reading
a number of articles and the t-shirt ad. I hate to inform
you, but as usual with Democrats, the facts don't matter.
The only Junior that ran in the last Presidential election
was Al Gore. If you check the final totals that were certified
by all the states and not the ones reported on election night,
George W. won by almost 1 million votes nationwide. It is
misstatements like this that drove me from the Democratic
party and to the Libertarian party. Get the facts at Cato.org
or self-gov.org. I feel sorry for idiots that regurgitate
lies and act like mind-knumbed robots instead of thinking
for themselves. I thought Republicans were sore losers.

It's not
hate, it's contempt. Hate takes too much work and it really
isn't good to hate anybody. I'd like to know what happened
to bipartisanship, getting along, good vibes and all of that
from a Democrat point of view. It seems bipartisanship only
works when it's a Republican who "sees the light" or "grows"
and agrees with the Democrats. In the unlikely event a Democrat
veers off the reservation, not very kind things are said about
him. Example: when Miller of Georgia (a very long-time Democrat
and former governor) supported this miniscule farce of a tax
cut (which by the way all of it eventually expires, putting
everything back as it was, thank you for nothing) he was lumped
in right along with those mean Republicans as a destroyer
of medicare, raider of social security, education terminator,
poisoner of the environment, etc. One can just feel the love
emanating from the Democratic leadership. Hypocrites all.
Republicans
deserve contempt as well, but hey, this is the Democratic
Underground hate mail. If the Republicans have a similar drivel-filled
site, please advise so I can be balanced and bipartisan and
send them a message too. For now, nothing but contempt for
Democratic party and DU. Cheers.
