Pastor defiles, shaves 13-year-old girl


The Madina Police have arrested a 27-year-old pastor, Bright Addo for allegedly defiling a 13-year-old Junior High School student at his Ritz Junction Area residence at Madina, a suburb of Accra.

Pastor Addo was said to have taken advantage of the girl's weakness after the sex act and shaved off her pubic hair as she lay on the bed.

According to Chief Superintendent Elizabeth Allandu, the Divisional Commander of the Madina Divisional Command, Pastor Addo, who was the pastor in charge of the Divine Faith Prayer Ministry at the Achimota Forest but lives at the Ritz Junction at Madina near Accra, was also the victim's family pastor.

The pastor was said to have convinced the girl's mother that some men were spiritually defiling her, and that it was necessary for her to be protected from such spiritual attacks. The mother of the victim therefore asked her daughter to drop in at the pastor's residence on her way home from school at Adenta for spiritual fortification.

It sounds like her mind has been poisoned by religion to the point that she will mindlessly accept anything a "church person" says to her. To me, this is a form of mental illness induced by an addiction to religion. It is quite common these days, especially in America.

If you send your child down to the shop and the shopkeeper feeds them a "boiled lolly", is it actually your fault? For sure you are almost certain to take on some degree of personal guilt, castigating yourself for not going yourself, but is that guilt actually justified? And what would you do to the neighbour who had the temerity to suggest that you "should have known better"?

but in "this" case the women was dropping her child off for some sort of exorcism and didn't even go up. She probably didn't see anything wrong with her child and the simplest of questions could have cause this so called pastor to start fumbling at the mouth. Maybe my choice of mental was uncalled for but whatever religion you have the ability to think for yourself could have saved this daughter and mother alot of heartache and terror.
