(62,346 posts)every time I got on a plane I never cared what the pilots looked like or their religion or sexual preference. All I ever cared about was whether they could fly the plane.

(45,261 posts)Don't search for it unless you want your blood to boil, but they have plenty of threads there and opinion pieces on RW media on why it is dangerous to allow LGBT people to fly planes, drive trains, and other jobs where people's lives are in their hands. It has to do with the "death wish" part.

ETA: so far, the only cases of planes being flown into the ground or ocean on purpose have been flown by MALE pilots. Far as I know anyway.

There was also a Law and Order episode recently where they thought a female pilot was a terrorist because she's brown but actually she had been raped before by her white male copilot and he was trying to do it again in the air.
