So the people of Ireland voted to repeal the Eight Amendment by a two to one margin.
The exit polls had it at 68/32, so they were about right.

(15,358 posts)That allow too much influence from the Catholic Church. I'm in theory in favor of getting the Catholic influence out of Africa especially since the church's no birth-control stance does so much harm, but since America is going forward when it comes to LGBTQ rights, etc., right-wing, anti-gay evangelicals have made Africa their target to spread their hate, and having the Catholic Church there as a bulwark is a necessary evil.
