Trump just makes sh*t up for these rallies. and they cheer.
The president’s remarks at a South Carolina rally on Monday were even more egregious. Trump said he’d rejected a request to add 5,000 judges to the border after “they” came into his office. But it’s not clear who “they” are, and there have been no public reports of any meeting like this.
“They came to me three days ago and they said, ‘Sir, we’d like you to sign this order,’” Trump told his audience. “What is the order? ‘We need 5,000 judges on the border.’ I said, ‘Judges? What other country has judges?’ I said, ‘How many do we have now?’ They didn’t even know. So we have thousands of judges and now we’re going to have 5,000.” In fact, there are about 334 immigration judges currently serving, not “thousands” as Trump claims. Additionally, only another 365 judges would be needed to eliminate the backlog of cases, according to Dana Leigh Marks, president emeritus of the National Association of Immigration Judges. Trump presumably offered the anecdote as a way of suggesting that the government’s adherence to fundamental constitutional rights like due process requires unnecessary resources. But it only gave the impression that he has no clue about the immigration judicial system. https://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/trump-rallies-lies_us_5b34dc6de4b0cb5605200483

3. This is who he is.
He did business this way. Whether real estate, Trump University, Trump steaks, Trump golf courses, Trump Men's Wear, Trump whatever....it has always been a combination of bullshit and a con.

4. +1000
It amazes me that there are so many stupid people in the world. So many people who fall for his bullshit. So many of us can see right through him. Why can't' others?

6. They aren't "falling" for anything. They know he's a liar & a cheat. They like his stand on race &
and immigration. He's saying and doing what they've always wanted. the personality issues are the cost of doing business.

7. That is even more depressing.
I always thought that people were basically decent. I guess I was wrong. Some of us are, but there are so many that aren't. I must say it has come as a shock to me.

5. And the Trumpsters cheered wildly and never thought to fact check any of his wild claims.
Even when they are presented with irrefutable proof of his lies, they will turn a blind eye and a deaf ear and cheer him even louder.
That's why I feel it's a wasted effort trying to win these people over. They want to believe him regardless what the facts are. |

8. The MAGA crowd inherited this world view from the evangelicals.
They don't actually believe any of the crap they throw out there. They just use it as a club to beat up on people.

11. When he does that, I think he makes more stuff up...like numbers.
When they start laughing or clapping, he gets worse and lies more. If he gets really wound up, he says things like, "Lock her up!" or "Someone should smack him in the face." He loves to incite and should be charged if anyone gets murdered or seriously hurt.
He's a typical bully. Incite and stand back to watch the action by someone else. Keep his hands clean. |

and people would clap and cheer like he had just crapped diamonds. I can't imagine how disturbing it would be to attend one of those events.

14. Hey maybe we should start having our own national Democratic rallies!
We could call it the "We're Better Than This Tour," book some A-list talent, and set up voter registration centers on site.
Where are Democratic Sugar Mamas and Sugar Daddies that can make this happen? |
