Some good news on Collins and Roe v Wade.....

Republican Sen. Susan Collins, a key vote in the coming Supreme Court confirmation fight, said Sunday she would not support a nominee hostile to the landmark abortion ruling in Roe v. Wade.

"I would not support a nominee who demonstrated hostility to Roe v. Wade because that would mean to me that their judicial philosophy did not include a respect for established decisions, established law," Collins said on CNN's "State of the Union."

The nominee will just say he supports precedent, Collins will say that's good enough for her, and once he's confirmed, he'll vote to repeal.

Collins is as bad as every other Republican.

Agree with ALL of this ^^^

Like, a SCOTUS nominee chosen by the racist, treasonous, lying hog-in-chief, one whose chosen off of a Federalist Paper won't LIE to Collins? PLEASE.

Also, since there might be 2 Dems voting FOR hog-in-chief's 2nd stolen SCOTUS seat, Collins and Murkowski may have cover to vote NO against this person whomever he/she is.

I don't trust a thuglican as far as I can throw the tRumputin tower.

There are about four Dem senators from primarily rethug states who are being challenged for reelection this midterm. Each one of them is probably going to side with the rethug pick just to get reelected. This is going to wind up just another rethug cram-down. The best (probably only) strategy the Dems can employ is to delay, delay, delay so that any selection is deferred until after the midterm, but I expect Mr. Chao will use parliamentary challenges or some other hardball tactic to force a vote sooner. Frankly, I expect the rethugs have been planning their strategic moves right around time Mr. Chao announced there'd be no August recess. I believe they'd already been given a heads-up by Shitler that he'd been exerting pressure on Kennedy to retire and had extracted his agreement to do so.

pushing the narrative that the worst case scenario is that it will be left up to the states to decide the abortion issue. This is to placate the people in blue states to think "it won't happen here".

That is absolute bullshit. As soon as they know they have the votes on the bench, if they control Congress they will have a bill on Trump's desk in a heartbeat to make abortion illegal in the United States. They could actually do this before the next election.

Don't think for one minute that this isn't their plan.
