Remember Kevin McCarthy admitting on tape that he thinks Putin pays 2 people, Rohrabacher and Trump?
Not surprisingly, Rohrabacher made a statement today calling the arrest of Butina stupid.

(505 posts)US Person 1 is described as "an American political operative".
US Person 2 is described as "a [US] citizen who was included among the participants in a series of email communications in 2016 and 2017".
Makes it sound like Person 1? Jesus. US Person 1 had quite some interesting mail conversations with BUTINA. He gave her a lot of hints about how to approach influential Americans, and who might be an interesting target for her "special project" (sic!). He also refers to BUTINA'S "special friends" in Russia. Maybe "special" is a code word for "spy" in this case?
US Person 1 also sent an email "I've been involved in securing a VERY private line of communication between the Kremlin and key [GOP] leaders through, of all conduits, the [NRA]."

(6,288 posts)Indictment is "stupid" and it's the "deep state" trying to poison the U.S.-Russia relationship.
There are people in what we call 'deep state,' meaning these guys have wormed their way into power in the Obama years and before and have their own political agenda.
And theyre utilizing every bit of leverage that theyve got to accomplish their mission. - Dana Rohrabacher

Yup, their mission is to get the traitors outta our gov't, Dana.

(36,217 posts)Latest polls indicate he's behind, albeit just slightly. I would not be surprised if he dropped another point in the polls after opening his yap defending the orange anus.
It will be a pleasure to see him tossed on the dung heap.

(18,903 posts)I'd like to see someone from the NRA sent to prison, and I'd love them to lose their tax exempt status. That would be a BIG plus as a residual effect of Trump's rampant dumbfuckery.

I hope he gets his this time around. Traitor.
The GOP sickens me more with each passing day.
I never in a million years thought they would get lower than Bush/Cheney.

(14,167 posts)I firmly believe that were at a real watershed moment in our nations history. Plagued by partisan bickering, extremism and a politics first mentality, Washington is in desperate need of real, meaningful, and lasting change.
Our country and our people deserve better.
The relentless divisiveness, conflict, and finger pointing has to end. The time has come to embrace common sense for common ground.
That means we need elected officials who are ready to work together to serve their neighbors and their country, and have the energy and passion to deliver.
It is time to have a Congressional representative who is accessible and unifying. It is in this spirit that I have announced my campaign for the 48th Congressional District of California.
We need new leadership that is willing to put country over party, and put service above self.
We need new leadership that prioritizes forward-thinking, innovative, well-paying jobs like our growing clean tech industry.
We need new leadership that believes in womens rights, human rights, and liberties for all, and for all a better life.
We need new leadership that trusts science, acts on climate change, demands that polluters clean up their mess, and advocates for science, technology, engineering, arts, and math (STEAM) education and a clean energy economy for our future.
We need new leadership that supports public education for K through 12, and affordable access to higher education.
And we need new leadership that is committed to bringing back our federal tax dollars and making our District the economic hallmark of our great country.
Im running to bring much needed common sense, fiscal responsibility, and the social pragmatism our 48th District and our country deserves. Join me, lets send a clear message that its time for a change for the better and that it is time for career politicians like Rohrabacher to get a real job.
You can make a difference.
Please, sign up and get involved! And if you are not registered to vote, dont wait do it now.
We need you and our country needs you. Im willing to work tirelessly on this campaign to flip the 48th, and together, we can be the change we want to see.

(17,007 posts)Laura Oatman was a candidate for Rohrabacher's seat; she left the race and endorsed Harley Rouda, Democrat for California's 48th District.
They appeared together in a podcast you can listen to; Oatman gives her reasons why she decided to drop out of the race and endorse Rouda: https://dollemore.com/tag/harley-rouda/
