Let's hope at least some Republican voters are paying attention

The news this week will alternate between coverage of McCain's funeral and memorials, with McCain's personal character sharply illuminated; and coverage of Trump's high crimes and misdemeanors with Trump's character sharply illuminated. The contrast could not be clearer.

either.

They can help end the mess starting with Nov's election, send an overwhelming surge of democrats to congress to begin the end of trump and the evil around him.

But I have found that many Republicans who loathe Trump simply would never bring themselves to vote for a Democrat. I don't know how that plays into things, but I have a feeling many of those kinds of Republicans just won't vote.

3. We just need them to bring themselves to simply stay home on election day. That's enough

If more Democrats than usual and less Republicans than usual vote, Democrats will do very well in November.

4. This week they will hear a lot from people who actually act or acted Presidential

The last two American Presidents who actually understand that the American President is elected to represent all of the American people will deliver the eulogies for John McCain. John McCain served his nation in the armed forces with distinction rather than take five bone spur deferments to avoid serving the way Trump did, only to later use the military as a prop for political advancement. McCain stayed behind himself in a North Vietnamese prison camp rather than accept an early release without the rest of his compatriots. Trump raises money off of Veterans and then has to be harassed by the media to hand any of it over to them. The two men are polar opposites.

A hope that clip of Trump dismissing McCain for getting captured gets a lot of air play this week.

I think there won't be as much attention to Cohen and Manafort this week as there would have been otherwise. Of course, I'm not ruling out a tweet storm by the asshat

6. Yeah, I thought of that too, but over all I don't think so

Cohen and Manafort will both be back, with a vengeance. Their legal difficulties are far from over, with additional trials looming. So everyone will be plunged back into wallowing in the sleaze of Trump's administration soon enough, but now there will be a fresh memory of how true American leaders behave to contrast that with.
