The Kavanaugh Vote: A quick sugar high for them. LONGTERM ANGER for us. VOTE VOTE VOTE!!

As Joy Reid said so well, it is a quick sugar high for them. They'll be over it in a week. We won't forget! Our anger was already HUGE. Now it is BIGGER and BADDER!

BUT, take it to the VOTING BOOTH! Go campaign for D's. Donate. Put up signs. Make calls. Knock on doors. Talk to friends and neighbors. And VOTE VOTE VOTE!

I am not talking about the "Supreme Court for a generation." And polls are SNAPSHOTS. LBM20 Oct 2018 #2

They have the Supreme Court for a generation. That is not a "sugar high" and it is absurd to say such a thing.

Look at the Senate polls in Texas and Tennessee. This fight helped Republicans.

Sure, the R's have had a Kavanaugh bounce on the Senate side because it gave them an issue to rally around. And, I have said repeatedly that now we have to take the anger to the VOTING BOOTH and stop fighting this particular fight for now. They ALWAYS HAD THE VOTES! This was no surprise.

The R BOUNCE is just that, a BOUNCE. But the ball comes back down. True, it may help them keep the Senate by a few seats which was LIKELY ANYWAY SINCE WE HAVE SO MANY MORE SEATS TO DEFEND.

But while they get a Kavanaugh BOUNCE, our side's anger is DEEP and LASTING. No question. Look at 1992 when SO many women swept in due to Clarence Thomas. Dems were already angry. Now they are even madder, and they won't forget.

This HURTS THE GOP in the LONG RUN, and, in fact, it hurts them this cycle in US House and state and local races.
