10 inch slat gaps in Donald's fence?

10 inch slat gaps?

The length of a Ford Explorer is 198.3"
The Explorer pictured below traverses 11 of the "steel slats."
With equal width slats and gaps, that means there is a nearly 10"
gap between each spiked slat of horror.
Plenty of room for half-starved refugees to fit through.

With the right kind of "hook" to catch the top of the poles, a couple wreckers could pull it over!

if the "slats" are formed from plate steel, an oxyacetylene torch will make short work of them at the base.

Or it could be a job for Thermite! or some of it's tricky cousins....

Even if the slats are fixed to the base there is nothing to keep them from vibrating. What kind of sound will those 20-foot tuning forks make when a good wind comes along?

is a construction drawing.

It's like saying, "Pshaw, what kind of a vehicle has grey brake lights and black windows? And just look at the boarder guard logo on the truck, all grey like that. Who authorized the redesign?"

First, notice that the SUV is shortened (the tires are oval, rather than round). This article figures 10 inch slats and 9 inch gaps--still plenty of room to fit between and there is a resaurant in China where you eat free if you fit thru a 5.9 inch gap https://www.thestar.com.my/news/regional/2018/05/29/want-a-discount-try-squeezing-through-narrow-metal-bars-in-this-chinese-restaurant/

Here's the WashPost article: https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2018/12/23/based-trumps-detailed-diagram-his-slat-wall-we-did-some-advanced-mathematics/?utm_term=.6de2d2725cfd and this note:

Most drugs that cross that border illegally already come through ports of entry, smuggled in vehicles or on people crossing legally. What’s more, a barrier with nine-inch gaps seems like it might allow for pretty easy transfer of bulky packages, without having to throw them 28 feet in the air to clear the wall.
