BTW I'm sure all those Texas land owners would be thrilled to give
up their land for Trump's fence.

It's simple - DACA is something to be administered by the executive branch. We have seen how the Trump administration has screwed over people who present themselves at ports of entry to apply for asylum. Why wouldn't Trump or a future Rethug in the White House do the same thing to a DACA applicant? Screw them over?

MEXICO WON'T PAY FOR THE DAMN WALL AND NEITHER WILL WE!

Besides, we should not be negotiating anything with kidnappers and hostage holders. We should not negotiate anything until the furlough is over. Then we TALK!!

Trump is hostage taker. We give them no place lest they keep taking our government workers hostage every time he wants to appease Putin.

and reverse negative public opinion for Trump's hostage taking and turn it against democrats. It will be framed as Trump offering something (which of course will really be nothing) and the "dems choosing to keep the government closed". Dems need to be ready with their own "announcement" to push back, and I'm sure they will.
