Lori Loughlin in FBI Custody for Alleged Involvement in College Bribery Scam

After being one of over 40 people indicted in a massive college admissions cheating scam on Tuesday, a spokeswoman for the FBI tells ET that the Fuller House star was taken into custody by FBI agents in Los Angeles early Wednesday.

The actress will be booked at the Metropolitan Detention Center, the spokeswoman adds, and is expected to appear before a federal magistrate at 2 p.m. PT this afternoon in U.S. District Court.

Loughlin and her husband, Mossimo Giannulli, were charged on Tuesday with conspiracy to commit mail fraud and honest services fraud. According to court documents, the two allegedly paid money to have their two daughters -- Olivia, 19, and Isabella, 20 -- deemed as recruits for the University of Southern California's crew team, despite them never actually participating in the sport once classes began.

If it's a felony, it's standard procedure, I guess. She'll make bail... Honeycombe8 Mar 2019 #11

she will be out by the end of the day and has plenty of cash for whatever attorney she likes.

No sympathy here at all.

if she's jailed. She's in custody, but may just be sitting in interrogation rooms.

Why would you think that this felony should be treated differently from someone else's?

Non-rich people get arrested for fraud all the time. Why not the rich?

And this was not a victimless crime - some kid who didn't go to private schools, didn't have tutors, didn't have the money for SAT prep courses, but nevertheless worked his or her ass off for years, didn't get a spot because an actress committed fraud instead on behalf of her mediocre daughters. On top of that, these people claimed a tax deduction for the money they sent to a charity they knew was fake. Nothing like screwing over the rest of us twice!

If you're a minority or poor, you'll get jail time for committing tax fraud, welfare fraud, insurance fraud, etc.

We are either a nation of laws or we are not.

Loughlin, known for her role as Aunt Becky on "Full House," and Giannulli agreed to pay $500,000 in bribes to get their two daughters designated as recruits to the University of Southern California's crew team, though the girls did not participate in crew, court documents allege.

Giannulli wrote to a cooperating witness in 2016, copying Loughlin on the email:

"We just met with (our older daughter's) college counselor this am. I'd like to maybe sit with you after your session with the girls as I have some concerns and want to fully understand the game plan and make sure we have a roadmap for success as it relates to (our daughter) and getting her into a school other than ASU!"

To add irony, Loughlin's first husband, Michael Burns graduated from ASU. He is vice chairman of film company Lionsgate. Giannulli attended SC but no degree.

So along with obviously having a small dick he seems to have a problem with his wife's first husband.
