3 Florida radio stations to broadcast Trump speeches every hour until 2020 election![]() 3 Florida radio stations to broadcast Trump speeches every hour until 2020 election By Justin Wise - 05/14/19 07:48 PM EDT A media company that operates multiple radio stations in Florida has vowed to broadcast portions of President Trump’s speeches every hour of every day until the 2020 election. Gulf Coast Media Inc., the owner of the stations "Classic Rock WRBA-FM 95.9," "Country WKNK-FM 'Hank FM'” and "Adult Hits WASJ-FM 'BOB FM,'” announced in a press release that it would air Trump's speeches for the next 18 months. Samuel Rogatinsky, the owner of the radio station operator based in Bay County, Fla., told The Orlando Sentinel that the stations would broadcast two-minute snippets of Trump's speeches every hour of every day. “We ran it by a bunch of listeners and people in the area, and nobody’s upset about it. It’s Republican territory,” Rogatinsky said, adding that the stations may sometimes run Trump's speeches twice an hour. “Nobody’s offended by it. It’s not an issue.”
Rogatinsky did not immediately respond to a request for further comment from The Hill. Gulf Coast Media acknowledged in the news release that continually airing Trump's speeches did not conform to "conventional commercial FM radio." But the organization said that the move was made to "show the community’s sincere appreciation for President Donald Trump’s work in Panama City and Bay County." more... https://thehill.com/homenews/media/443732-florida-radio-stations-to-broadcast-trump-speeches-every-hour-until-2020?fbclid=IwAR0IhH5aJ6utUbbUqS3usHU_GUTGs-EHJyG6b4mhzPSubnqqi5KQQBRMWDg

4. That just might backfire on them. If people actually listen to the idiocy day after day
they might find it doesn't make much sense.
Then what? |

14. As Rockfordfile says, this won't work. It not only won't work, it will cause the opposite
reaction. It's the first law of propaganda: "if you repeat something enough (no matter how stupid it is), people will come to believe it."
Constant repetition of even the dumbest shit (I'm looking at you, Limbaugh and Fox) has made this country what it is today -- a garbage dump. |

5. Actually, that could be a brilliant idea.
Buy a radio station and simply play, with absolutely the legal minimum of editing of swear words, every speech he's given since the escalator. 24 hours a day, seven days a week, for the next 18 months. No commercials, just the mandatory station IDs every 10 minutes.
Let repetition poison his words and his voice. Let people listen without the groupthink and social pressure of an audience, or the braying, mindless support of commentators and hosts on Faux News, until how childlike he is becomes set solidly in the mentality of the people in range of the transmitter. Offer a free stream as well... it would be an interesting experiment to track the number of people listening over time. Add every new speech he does, press conference, rally, interview, etc. The handful of insane sycophants will love it, and the rest that kinda-sorta like him will finally tune him out completely. They will have to acknowledge to themselves, every time they're in the car, that they are deliberately NOT tuning in to him because they can't STAND him. |

6. Every Dem candidate needs to request equal time.
One bit of Trump speech, 21 (?) bits of Dem candidate speeches.
Equal Time Rule The equal-time rule specifies that U.S. radio and television broadcast stations must provide an equivalent opportunity to any opposing political candidates who request it. |

7. Isn't that kind of like the policy of playing loud rock music to torture prisoners and enemies?
It was used in Guantanamo; https://www.spin.com/2006/11/music-torture-war-loud/
It was used in Panama, Afghanistan, the Middle East, Iraq, and even used to torment the Branch Davidians in Waco, TX. https://www.ranker.com/list/songs-used-in-american-torture/stephanroget?page=4 Guess it depends on one's perspective, but it sounds roughly equivalent to me! |
