7,500 boots are on display at Fort Bragg to honor US service members killed since 9/11

First, of course, respect for their sacrifice.

But what I think about is the war criminals in the Bush Administration who sent most of these young soldiers to die in an immoral war, that was lead with incompetence and stupidity..
Blood is on their hands, and they never paid the price.

1. Totally agree - the best way to "Support the Troops" is to stop these meaningless wars/

2. It's a dichotomy

While these troop are going out to defend us, and deserve our thanks on a personal level.
I don't know if a single soldier has actually died to "protect my freedom" in over 70 years.
I can't think of any conflict that we should have been in, or where our country was being defended in any true way.
It' makes their sacrifices in vain, which is the real tragedy.

3. And may those responsible pay.

"Sometimes I feel this bad about what we did." "That much, huh?"

4. Population of Ft Bragg grew from

5,400 to almost 70 thousand in one year during the war in the 1940's to become the third largest city in NC. The military is big business in NC. Just ask Richard Burr.

All wars are immoral.
