Whatever tweets may come, DT does NOT want to be impeached. Hillary wasn't impeached (wasn't President -- I know). Obama wasn't impeached. DT will never be able to reach back and make them even more impeached than himself -- (double-impeached or super-impeached he'd probably say) -- which would infuriate him to no end. Even if the Senate doesn't remove him, it will always be there. If impeached, he would flail to degrees we haven't seen yet -- which might be a little perilous for us all, but also revealing to many.
This hand wringing over whether to impeach or not to impeach is just unnecessarily taxing. If he's impeached, he'll make hay out of that -- "Ooh a Democratic coup attempt. Went after the king and missed. Losers!" If he's not impeached, it'll be: "Cowardly Dems -- too gutless to pull the lever on impeachment. Losers!"
Knowing that each fork in the road is equally fraught is liberating. We can just do what we want and -- impeach DT.
If he's impeached and not removed by the Senate, DT will probably illegally press Barr into initiating some Benghazi-style investigations of Hillary and Obama. If so, we can impeach him again for that -- Barr too.
As far as I know, the Constitution doesn't make impeachment a once-per-congressional-session deal. It's more a once-per-high-crime-or-misdemeanor deal. Hell, we can impeach him every week, the way he's going. How much fun would that be?

(32,061 posts)He is getting nuttier and nuttier by the day. The longer she waits, the more obviously unhinged he gets. The media is starting to pay attention, and they're also finally starting to call him out on his lying. A few republicans are also starting to come on board. It's just a matter of time before somebody steals the strawberries, and he has his "Captain Queeg" moment...

(16,254 posts)He called impeach all kinds of nasty adjectives.
So, since it bothers him so much, we should use it in every post and every sentence we utter. That will benefit Trump in that he will have to figure out new expletives/descriptive phrases to use in his tweets. It will also give us more fodder for...you guessed it, impeachment. His mouth gets him in as much trouble as his tweets, actually.

He apparently lusts for three things in this world money, power and Ivanka.
Limit access to any and all of those and it will tip him over the edge.

Better, when the House is in session and the Senate under McTurtle is not. This would minimize any fast or deep response until the vote is taken.
She IS the chess master at all this, for sure!

House Dems have at LEAST ten impeachments to run.

(2,367 posts)...How many swings do we get at impeachment? Could they impeach for obstruction of justice first, then if the Senate fails to convict, could they turn around and impeach for "colluuuuuuusion", then another Senate trial, then another impeachment for financial crimes, then....you get the idea.... Surely it's not a one time deal when there are so many high crimes and misdemeanors to choose from?
