In February, when the NK-USA talks failed, there's the possibility that the failure

was partly b/c Trump jerked Kim around. And Kim blamed the failure for getting even a partial success on his officials and had them executed. https://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-48477248

If memory serves, Kim walked in with a list of demands that Trump refused to consider. When negotiations work themselves out like that, there's usually a reason. A reason like the Trump officials indicated there would be some kind of trade between the two leaders. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2019_North_Korea%E2%80%93United_States_Hanoi_Summit

Kim, being Kim, maybe punished his officials for believing whatever the Trump Team told them they should believe.

Trump thinks his very aura of greatness will blow everyone's mind and they'll bend to his will. His behavior probably caused those n. Koreans to be executed/imprisoned. Just impossible to convey his abject unsuitability for this job.
