Spokesman for McConnell denied that he'd collapsed under the weight of his hypocrisy. "Actually, he tripped over a giant bag of NRA cash that had been left lying around," said the staffer. "Normally we keep it well out of sight, but someone just screwed up."

(16,254 posts)I don't believe this for a second. Now, he can lay low over his vacation from the Senate floor. Maybe things will cool down, in the meantime.
He's so slimy, I wouldn't believe anything he had to say.

(63,221 posts)a fractured shoulder? I was in for two days with a broken proximal humerous. How was he "treated and released" for a fractured shoulder. If it's fractured, they can't put it in a cast, you can't move or do much of anything and it is extremely painful.
I'm calling BS on this. Like Melania's "kidney operation" and MF45's "bone spurs", this is just another pathetic excuse to cover the fact that he's going to stay home and cry because people are calling him mean names.
Fuck you, Mitch.

(17,421 posts)I'm sure there are many different ways to break a shoulder. My arm was put in a sling and X-rayed periodically to be sure it didn't need surgery. I hurt like hell for 4 weeks. At 8 weeks I started physical therapy to get it working again. That hurt like hell for months and I never got full range back. 24 years later I can still easily tweak it.
Maybe the NRA/KGB twisted his arm too hard.

(61,690 posts)Maybe another senator can take over for him. Leningrad Lindsey is almost as bad.

(51,567 posts)Last night at 1 AM I learned about the Ohio killings and was in shock and then it turned into rage (3 mass murders in 1 week!). Bring the already written gun control bills to the Senate for a vote! He refuses to do this since he loves the NRA. $$$. He is giving our election to Putin for Russian $$$. He has sold our country for his personal gain. Yes, I wish he broke a lot more than his shoulder.

And might also prevent him from going back to Washington for the emergency vote Senator Sherrod Brown is requesting for gun background checks:

So sorry for his pain. Uh huh. Shoulder pain can be a bitch, Mitch.

(5,005 posts)for an @sshole that is basically encouraging a foreign power to interfere with our election. No empathy for a man that has rigged the system so he can destroy our courts. No sympathy at all for a man that allows those babies to be held in cages. Plus it is probably a lie. He does not want to deal with public appearances with people shouting of Moscow Mitch.

(5,499 posts)He's not young. He did have polio as a child which tends to rear its ugly head later in life. Once the falls start, they don't usually stop.
I say this not to feel bad for him. I don't. But just as my thoughts. There will be no accompanying prayers.
