My take. The GOP is in deep owing to tRump. He did for them what they couldn't do for themselves.

He cheated, lied, and chopped Hillary off at the knees. He beat her, and in the process so disparaged her, so dragged her name in the mud making her the focus of his campaign rallies.

The GOP became drunk with happinesses. They themselves couldn’t believe it! Oh the joy! We beat Hillary! Thank thank thank you Donald.

It is not complicated. It’s Occam's Razor. They whisper to each other in the halls of Congress that they owe Donald so very very much, they must stand by him. The hateful base demands it. The Hillary haters demand it.

And so, perhaps. Hillary’s loss will be America’s gain as we watch shaking our heads as the entire GOP goes down in flames the longer they hang on...

Everything the GOP tried for years, failed. They lied and tried and could not find one scintilla of proof to take her down.

Now, DC is dirty with proof. So much proof that GOP spinning dervishes have become dizzy, confused yet silent still.

I feel better. Thank you for reading if you got this far.

How many Bengazhi hearings? Over and over, they failed. Then came the Donald.

I hope and pray the cowards continue their silence. The more they refuse the bigger the chance of their seats turning blue.

5. Russia. Massive, widespread Republican election theft.

The recent growth of an American plutocracy and instillation of massive, systems-destroying corruption into our government from them and Russia via Republicans in government.

“Maybe you do not care much about the future of the Republican Party. You should. Conservatives will always be with us. If conservatives become convinced that they can not win democratically, they will not abandon conservatism. They will reject democracy.”

― David Frum, Trumpocracy: The Corruption of the American Republic

David Frum was correct. Rejection of democracy is what's happening, via application of fascistic tactics and alliance with external enemies to defeat the Democratic Party, and with it representative government.

Trump's an accident of history, proof that RW corruption is top-to-bottom, but he's been used by those on top, including religious right leaders, to advance their ongoing RW takeover -- as best they can. They've made some big gains through him, and are also exposed to great danger.

As part of this takeover, a lot of top Republicans and their agents have committed despicable acts and crimes that would devastate their lives and even send them to prison if prosecuted. They've always planned to make that impossible.

We plan to take them down.

The Mob, when they want to get their hooks into a business will often start helping that business in ways that are illegal, but the owner of the business might not know or might not be aware. Then the mob approaches the business and says, "look at this, we've helped you out, you're making more money, but I would hate for the IRS or SEC to find out about these transactions, so we'll just keep it between us. One more thing, there's a favor I'd like from you..."

They spread so much Russian money around to the campaigns of key Republicans that there's no way to even track it. And many accepted the money knowing it was illegal to take. Those people are compromised. And all these Republican trips to Russia, no doubt there are parties with girls and it's all being filmed covertly. This is how Trump and the mob work together. And it's brazen, I bet they get some of these Cons to Russia and they're apprehensive, "Um, I'm a married man, and this could be used against me." "Don't worry about it, this is how they do business here, I guarantee this is private and nothing leaves this hotel." After a few drinks (drinking is part of all business dealings in Russia) they get these men to partake.

Firstly, I do agree that the GOP are going to go down in flames because they have glued themselves to Trump.

Where we part is that I believe they don't give a monkeys about Trump. It's been entirely transactional. They got their tax cut, and SC Judges. If they could dump him now, in a way that they can blame Democrats (so as not to piss off Trumpers), they would do so. This Impeachment could give them that out, and allow them to go into damage repair mode as soon as possible before the General Election.

can then say "We are truly shocked by the scale of this fraud on the American people, and President Trump has let us all down...blah blah blah....We are but innocent flowers, and will take swift action to protect our nation...."

Their fear is that Trump will set the alarm off with the Trumpists that Republicans stabbed him in the back, and they'll take revenge in 2020.

The fight between Jeb! and dRumpfenfuhrer wasn't a fight between pro-and anti- nazi philosophies, it was a fight about who was better for the job as top servant class member enacting said fascism, for standard oil and their nazi banking buddies.

Rump is wildly more successful at being head cheerleader for fascism, openly. At loving nazi ism and hating America. There's no difference between Rump saying he might stick around for 4 presidential terms and li'l bush saying this country would be better as a dictatorship, as long as he was the dictator.
