Rick Wilson's psychological warfare on that thing. Ouch!

No, you won't.

You're too weak, too slow mentally, too possessed by your own fear, and too much of an imposter to do it.

When you read that, you heard it in Fred's voice, didn't you Donnie?

Yes, the man is a conservative but he got my attention at the beginning of this nightmare (or whenever it was that he started appearing on Nicole Wallace's show). He's one of, if not the best, at taking down the WH squatter.

3. Rick Wilson

It's so weird to live in the Era of Trump. People who have been our enemies for decades are suddenly our allies. People like Rick Wilson, Ana Novarro, Joe Scarborough and Judge Napolitano among others.

Wilson has a particularly sketchy history, from a Democratic point of view. In 2000, he led the campaign to screw up the Florida recount of the Gore-Bush election.

Here's a Wikipedia quote about that event:

Once the closeness of the election in Florida was clear, both the Bush and Gore campaigns organized themselves for the ensuing legal process. On November 9, the Bush campaign announced they had hired George H. W. Bush's former Secretary of State James Baker and Republican political consultant Roger Stone to oversee their legal team...

Roger Stone!

Wilson also had a stint in NY politics with Giuliani. This is also from Wikipedia:

In 1994, Wilson joined a Florida media firm, where he created Pollie-award winning ads for Rudolph Giuliani during the 1997 New York City mayoral election. In 1999 Wilson moved to New York City where he initially worked at City Hall, and then later campaigned for Giuliani during the 2000 New York Senate election.

In any other normal time, these people would not be our friends. Thanks, Trump.

and Anna Novarro being on our side. They are fun and funny and very very smart. Snarky as hell when it is called for, and these days it is always called for. I loved reading Ricks book ETTD.

It will be interesting when things flip over, interesting for all of us I think.

He writes for The Daily Beast but most of his columns are behind their paywall, at least initially.

His disgust and contempt for Trump are profound and palpable. He writes with the language of the saltiest sailor in the bar! And he's right in his analysis and dissection of Trump.

I'm with you, MuseRider. I will miss these smart, snarky and sharp allies-of-the-moment. Just remember, they're really not our friends.

knows what buttons to push. And speaking of cults, today is the anniversary of the murders and suicides at Joanstown, Jim Joans cult. From the Trump cult members that I've met, they are capable of similar atrocities.

Two first hand events I've experienced: 1) A close family member bragged that he is a "front stabber" and not a back stabber (parroting a trump advisor). Well that scared the hell out of me. 2) Another close family member drank to excess during a family event and insulted everyone who was not a trump supporter, fracturing our family, & alienating this beloved aunt from her children (and I'm really too old to help repair the damage).

Nov 2019

It's another of the great ironies (or something) of the Era of Trump that the Idiot himself doesn't drink because, man, he's certainly forced me to open a bottle or three.

Speaking of liquor, there are several things that don't go well with booze. Things like driving a car, flying a plane, operating a boat, wedding nights and being with Trump supporters who are imbibing. In each scenario, what could possibly go wrong?!
