makes this same point about Republicans being easy to corrupt. It's not for lack of trying that Democrats aren't "bought" by Russian money; Unger said Russia used to try numerous times to buy Democrats but gave up; however. Republicans were easy prey.

Its a perspective that is important to remember. Putin doesn't care about our political parties, he just cares about how he can use our politicians to disrupt our democracy. Apparently, republicans are easy to corrupt. Gee whiz who knew?

If you think wealth is God's blessing on you, then anyone who offers you money is heaven sent, even if that money is stolen.

This is the cornerstone of capitalism's corruption.

Democratic leaders have other priorities besides building their personal wealth.

Worshiping money, power, and winning. Always have to be winning, while talking about character, integrity, and patriotism. It doesn't matter if what you say is true or not, as long as you are winning. You don't want to play cards with these people, as cheating is only an issue if someone else is doing it AND if they lose, they automatically assume their opponent must have cheated. They really can't believe that some people really are honest and principled.

It is beyond scary how many of these extreme religous types surround the Trump administration. They have consolidated a frightening amount of power, in a fairly short amount of time. I keep thinking, this would have been the period right before the Handmaid's Tale's Gilead was established.

xians as anything other than authoritarian, paranoid and patriarchal.

It’s like no one’s ever studied their history, which consists of centuries of horror.

Or read the book they base their so-called ideas off of. And I’m talking about the whole thing—including the second part of it.

Awful stuff, all around.

This is who they are. This is who they have always been, especially since Constantine. And all of that is the logical conclusion of what anyone could expect of those who follow such a horrifying obscenity of a text.

They've always been authoritarian, paranoid and patriarchal.

I'd add selfish and racist to the list.
