Absolutely NO to putting Biden or his son on the stand as a sacrificial lamb!

We lose the moral high ground if we do that. Not only that, but allowing such a deal to move forward would lead low information voters to think that the GOP handled things fairly. No. Hell no. It's time to FIGHT for our beliefs. Period. If democrats aren't articulate enough to explain why Biden is NOT relevant to the trial, then hire someone who is.

I don't care if the Bidens spend their weekends robbing liquor stores, anything they have or haven't done has no bearing on the charges against Trump.

If Roberts were truly impartial he'd disallow their testimony as irrelevant.

... to testify is a lose-lose for Republicans.

They will have to explain why Biden's testimony is relevant, but the testimony of people with firsthand knowledge is not.

What do they expect Hunter to say? "Being as I wasn't there, I don't have a clue what happened."

Because that's exactly what would his testimony would amount to.

or any of them. They've shown time and time again that they're willing to lie and gaslight to retain power. If Bolton was truly concerned about what he witnessed, we would have heard from him months ago!

... would be that Biden Hunter, who has absolutely nothing to do with Trump's extortion of Ukraine and has no knowledge thereof is a relevant witness, but those with firsthand knowledge because they were directly involved are not.

That's not a narrative they want to be promoting right now, given the obvious questions raised as to why Hunter's testimony is vital, while Bolton's et al isn't.

My take? The we'll call Hunter Biden ploy was always a toothless threat. His lack of knowledge of what happened years after he left the board of Burisma would only underscore the desperation of the Republicans who called him in the first place.

I'm not afraid of Hunter handling their questions. They have no documents or witnesses to prove wrongdoing.
