Off topic but similar situation...my kiddo pitches for a travel baseball team and hes not allowed to wear long sleeved white under armor shirts when hes pitching. Its confusing for the hitter.

Red and yellow (though I imagine they might call it "gold" .
There are rules about gloves. You're only allowed team colors and perhaps white. It's so they can't wear gloves that match the opponents jerseys and get away with holding.
