causes some occasional slurred speech? The speech he read was perfect -- coherent and rational. I heard a lot of lip-smacking sounds and some slurring, but just occasionally.
I hope he's not ill.

(61,675 posts)I have been watching Mitt since the 1990s and he is sometimes an amazingly good person and other times not so much. Here I admire and respect what he did. That took courage and a lot of soul searching on his part to buck the bad boys club knowing the consequences.
He'll be interesting to watch in the future. At this point I'd rather have Mitt than fucking Orin Hatch for this and he came out way ahead of my expectations.

I am in no way advocating for any republican for president but I think that the real Mitt Romney is about as good as the GOP has these days.
