Thats the best form of protest we can give. If we buy only essentials. Dont go to restaurants. Dont shop at Amazon. Dont buy clothes, furniture, TVs. No big ticket items!
If we must buy, buy second hand.
Trump tried to take credit for this boom economy from our President Obama whose policies began this ten year unprecedented economic boom! When Obama hits the campaign trails, make the contrast stark and resolute!
We do not want a Swamp creature for a president!

(4,969 posts)Have foregone buying a tv, and Ive passed on several pairs of shoes. Am wearing out old purses/bags. I like thrift store shopping.
I use vinegar, dish soap, and occasionally regular bleach as my primary cleaning agents around the house. Are cheap and Im not buying as much from chemical companies. Was done with oven cleaner years ago - that shit is toxic awful. I could go on about big chem, but wont.
Adopted using cloth napkins before he took office, and dont buy nearly as many paper towels. I dont bother folding them, bleh, no - I just shove them in a drawer.
Bought carbon offsets last year for a flight. And, am making efforts to drive less/purchase gas less often.
Its as much a protest against tRump as it is about conserving in the face of global warming. I still buy stupid stuff, but less than I used to.
So, youre not alone - is already happening in my household.
