Gallup 12/19 reported Americans as 28% D, 41% I, and 28% R, giving
0.28*0.06 + 0.41*0.43 + 0.28*0.93 = 0.016 + 0.176 + 0.260 = 45% approving Trump
and
0.28*0.13 + 0.41*0.40 + 0.28*0.80 = 0.036 + 0.164 + 0.224 = 42% happy with the direction of the country
We shouldn't become over-confident but we shouldn't despair either: we just need to knuckle down to our work
