I'm not buying ANY of this. Barr knows he sold his self-respect and credibility down the river, he knows he's a ball polisher at Mar-a-Lago. I refuse to believe a second of the tripe about Bill Barr's existential search for his moral compass. He's swine, a lapdog, and YES...he needs to go get his ****ing shine box.

(33,643 posts)I don't think Barr has an ounce of trouble with what he did re: Mueller, or anything else related to protecting Trump in terms of the power of the Office as it relates to overseeing the government.
But I might buy into him bristling at being asked to do things that are for the purposes of helping and/or enriching Trump, at the personal level. And I could easily see Trump trying to pull that kinda shit. And we just haven't heard about it. Yet.
That I could maybe see is all I'm saying.
Mainly because he himself could eventually end up in trouble for it.

(18,837 posts)I think Barr would happily fetch his shinebox all day long, like a frisky pup playing Frisbee with his owner in the park.
But Trump has a pathological need to remind everyone of who's in charge, frequently.
And that's what Barr objects to. He'd rather do it all under the radar. Beyond that, I don't believe he has any other "issues" with what he's doing.
