Has no one leaked any information about it yet?
Why would he feel the need to meet with the entire caucus? That is strange.
Does he think he is about ready to be fired?
Does he have information that only Republicans need to know?
His secrecy tends to create conspiracy theories. What the hell is going on?
Why is Trump still so obsessed about the Russia investigation? One would think he would be willing to let it die? Now we hear that he is suing the NY times.
There are things going on that you don't know.

(557 posts)It is corrupt because the whole government who carries Trump's water are corrupt and Bill Barr is worse because of how he thinks and how he got the job. Whatever the reason he met with them,it is not good.

No parole in the federal system either and they have to serve 85% of their sentencing before they can get out for good behavior.

(22,981 posts)It may have to wait until after the election, when we have D's in charge of both houses and (I FERVENTLY hope) a REAL A.G., but I think there is a LOT more to uncover there--and I think it could send AnusMouth and his pro-Russky cronies to prison forever. Hope springs eternal, and we ain't going away.

(42,676 posts)this meeting about Free Speech and a Free Press, and how it would be so useful if the GOP coalition held together,
To make Free Speech and a Free Press not so free, and preferably now or soon, so restrictions can contribute to Trump on Election Day.
But that's just my take on the confluence of events

Attorney General William Barr urged Republican senators Tuesday to quickly reauthorize a set of expiring surveillance tools, breaking from House GOP lawmakers and some White House officials who are pushing for a more expansive overhaul to be enacted right away.
Congress faces a March 15 deadline to extend the expiring provisions, and there are internal disagreements between Republicans -- as well as with Democrats -- about how to overhaul the surveillance law, which has become a linchpin in the fight to reform the FBI after a scathing review of its work in the Russia investigation.
In a meeting behind closed doors on Capitol Hill Tuesday, Barr asked GOP senators to extend the expiring provisions while he takes targeted steps administratively to begin reforming elements of the law within the Justice Department. In the meantime, he indicated, Congress can work on broader reforms that can be enacted at a later time, according to several senators and a senior Justice Department official who spoke to CNN.

(781 posts)With all the other pieces of shyte swirling through the news cycle, it's not that surprising that this swirled on past, but DAMN! that is ominous. One party coordinating with the AG to beef up surveillance?! Tailored to fall under the AG's control, the same AG who demands all investigations involving any political candidate be authorized thru his office? It's not enough to wreck the FBI, CIA and NSA, this mutherfuqquer wants to leave a STASI-style imprint for his legacy. He wants to make sure the GOP puppets align with his agenda. I doubt anybody there showed (on the off-chance of any actual feeling of) dissent.
