The virus knows no political borders. The Open 'Em Up Boys order impacts Alabama, Louisiana, Tennessee, and Arkansas.

Those states' AGs, if there were any sense among them, should sue the ever-loving shit out of MS.

Ah . . . . Dumbfuckistan, earring its name one loser policy at a time.

...last week (or perhaps the week before) warned that things will get very dire in Mississippi very quickly.

Unfortunately, I'm unable to find the link at the moment, but the gist was that their health care system has become an even greater shambles since rejecting subsidy for expansion of medicaid.

The system was overwhelmed by last flu season. If they couldn't handle that, they are utterly unequipped to face the current crisis. Particularly given that the percentage of vulnerable people with health problems and vulnerable poor are apparently higher than any other state.

I want to cry. Without strong social distancing, the residents of MS are facing a nightmare. A dear friend's 89 yo mother among them. (She's still tough and going strong, but I fear would be no match for this.)

Can we extrapolate the intelligence level of any given state based on the foolishness and recklessness of a governor's actions or policies?

884,911 voted, total. Under 50%. Who knows about fraud. Polls had them split. So out of all eligible voters @1/4 voted for a puke.
So are you saying the Dems and the innocent need to suffer too?

Such short term thinking. The only businesses that will flourish will be hospitals and funeral homes. I hope these folks have an extra helping of faith, they are going to need it.

I see this governor as a future Trump cabinet member; he would fit in well.

Not just for the impending meteoritic rise in Coronavirus deaths there, but in the extrapolative consequences for the rest of the country.

If people go to Fundamental churches it must mean they are embracing their beliefs in Armageddon hard, to ensure they will be the risen saved ones. When god doesn’t deliver their hearts will break, though I suspect their faith won’t change a bit.

A. Let’s watch MS. There are currently 579 cases and 8 deaths.

B. Dems steer clear of all MAGA gathering places. Then vote in November.
