why we REALLY do need the networks to carrier Trump's COVID Virus daily briefings
1. Yes, I know; Donald J Trump is treating this daily briefings as though they were a campaign operation---at least in part. BUT, he continues to show his incompetence EVERY SINGLE DAY! If Biden's ad, made up of Trump's exact quotes hurt now, think what they will do in the future!............2. Trump's daily display of stupidity becomes even more obvious when subjected to the comparison/contrast of Governors who ARE SHOWING REAL LEADERSHIP and COMPETENCE. Andrew Cuomo for example; and there will be more as the pandemic spreads. Other states have Leaders--both Democrat and Republican which are CLEARLY more competent and AWARE of the dangers of this pandemic then Trump..................3. THIS IS A NATIONAL EMERGENCY---TO STOP CARRYING FEDERAL GOVERNMENT DAILY BRIEFINGS OF THE SITUATION SMACKS OF PURE, NAKED, SHALLOW PARTISANSHIP--Democrats are better than this---we are better than this.............4.This pandemic will not end with Trumps removal from office in Jan 2021--we will have a lot of work to do to restock, and prepare for a possible 2nd round next year. Possible even this fall--(hope not). Just as FDR was able to restore confidence, even when a few programs instituted by Hoover were coming into place, the Democrats will have a chance to prove that Government can work, and is NECESSARY. Think NATIONAL VACCINE PROGRAMS FOR DISEASE ERADICATION AS PRACTICED IN EARLIER YEARS................Avoiding partisanship now will help Democrats to refute and rebut partisanship in the future......................Stay Separate, Stay Well; WE ARE GOING TO NEED YOU ALL!

1. They can show clips of all the things he says
that are true. It absolutely should not be a live, unchecked, whatever it is. It legitimizes everything he says.

4. (As a partisan) At least Trump's daily debacles provide evidence of his malfeasance.
His handlers should Mirandize him before going out to the podium: "anything you say can and will be used against you" in 2020.

6. But this president's false information
Has killed, is killing and will kill more.
Would it not be better to air pieces of his daily "look at me" show? For example, the press can cover the experts live, even if they are kissing his behind while talking? The press could also inform us that the president lied about the following things and then play the lies. I understand the notion that one does not get in the way of one's opponent when that opponent is punching himself in the face. Yet, our fourth estate has a duty to inform us with the truth, not kill us with misinformation to satisfy a sadistic president's blackhole of need. The timing of these daily narcissism shows supplants the local news too. People need to hear their local news much more than they need to hear this president quibble, whine and falsely bloviate. Right now, local news can quite definitely save lives and this president is stealing local news' time to boost his ratings and line his cronies' pockets. You also stay safe and stay sane! |

12. Excellent point
sorry for the delay, (caring for elderly mom)--I agree completely that press should continue to call out his lies and GROSS incompetence-especially when compared to many government officials thru out ALL levels of government. Let Trump continue, and continue to be corrected! Your other points--makes me think--thank you!

8. No we don't need one word of Trump bullshit...we just don't. If we win, there will be partisanship
from the usual sources, but maybe less after what they have done...killed thousands maybe millions.

problem solved. Has nothing to do with democrat vs. republican. It's a fucking pandemic and people need the truth.

10. So, those who urge the networks not to air Trump's TV rallies are guilty of "PURE, NAKED,
SHALLOW PARTISANSHIP", eh? And, you urge "avoiding partisanship"?
Well, you go right ahead and carry your casserole into the knife fight that the presidential campaign is guaranteed to be and see how long it is before some "bubba" hands you your ass. These "daily briefings" are transparent MAGA rallies funded by the taxpayers and featuring such Trump-worshipping "medical experts" as the "My Pillow" jerkface who proclaimed Trump was "sent by God" to save us. In closing, these days when I hear someone urging "bipartisanship" it is nearly always some Republican who realizes shit is about to get real. When the folks who crammed Gorsuch and Kavanaugh down our throats start whining about the need for bipartisanship, alarm bells should go off in the mind of any thinking Democrat. Rethink this, ok? |

14. I'll consider you points
one clarification-- I am NOT encouraging bipartisanship--but rather the avoidance of ANY partisanship for the time being. Let the crises--and many people's desire to respond and help--be a unifying force across a greatly divided country. Best if it unifies many AGAINST Trump regardless of political belief or party affiliation.

11. We have more need of local news and network news telling us what's really going on, not his BS
My family and friends have all been very relieved that our local ABC station stopped carrying his primetime campaign misinformation garbage fests from 6 pm on, so we can find out what's going on in our own community and the nation and world and not the incorrect misleading propaganda of a malignant sociopath extolling his greatness and showing no empathy.
