"We aren't heroes and we aren't Red Cross workers..." Amazon workers walking out

https://www.freep.com/story/news/local/michigan/wayne/2020/04/01/romulus-amazon-workers-walkout-coronavirus/5103071002/

Amazon workers at the distribution center in Romulus will be walking off their jobs Wednesday at noon in response to the company's failure to protect the health of its employees amid the coronavirus outbreak, according to a statement.

Recently, two positive cases of coronavirus have been found at the DTW1 fulfillment center and a third was confirmed early Wednesday morning.

"Amazon says that it values safety and health, but it's putting us, our families, and our communities in danger,” said Mario Crippen, a leader of the walkout and a worker at DTW1.

Big corporations always say they value this and that good, down home, thing. They tell you about their concern and altruism and regrets and wishes, etc.

They value profit. End of story. If one is going to believe corporate speak, then you are better off turning to the good old Easter Bunny and Santa.

These Multi Billionaires could afford to pay people better and treat them better.

Like maybe scrimp along with 200 million rather than 400 million.

Greed is an awful trait.

There's no excuse for the way the company is behaving. None.
