"SNIP....

The number of Trump voters who say that he was unprepared for the coronavirus has jumped 17 points to 40% of his supporters in the past week.

A new daily tracking poll from Navigator Researchfound:

– 40% of 2016 Trump voters say the president did not take coronavirus seriously enough early in the crisis, up 17 points since early last week.

– 66% of independents and 66% of Americans overall say the same, a 10-point increase from last week.

– 53% of Trump voters say Trump got it “about right” initially, down 7 points. 1% say he overreacted.

.

If Biden, Obama or the Clintons speak up, then Trump will turn this into a partisan attack.

Their silence showcases Trump, and that is why Trump tries to drag them into the matter.

However, they remain silent, and it highlights how weak, pathetic, and such a failure Trump is.

I think Trump believes that the more he talks, the more he convinces people. I could see his press conferences just going on and on, hour after hour ...

to domestic violence incidents. Initially, they makes excuses, rationalize etc. Then there’s the one thing that just flips the switch for them. Interestingly, it’s not always a particularly violent incident it’s the one thing that shows them he doesn’t care for them at all. They were willing to stay if he really truly loved them, once it becomes clear he doesn’t they see the past for what it was. I think for a lot of people Twitler’s cavalier attitude about so many people dying is the thing that flips the switch. It’s not about it being his fault, it’s about him not caring. They convinced themselves he cared about them and now they see he clearly doesn’t. Once that illusion is shattered there’s no going back.

"War of the Worlds" originally a movie in the 50s, and totally enjoyable. I didn't see the newer version, but I watched the older one a number of times..The older one is probably available at libraries or on the net.

Here is a link to the 1953 version with lots of info and reviews...from Internet Movie Data Base

Romney could have peeled away enough "buyer's remorse" voters from Obama, particularly from independents, to make make the 2012 presidential race against a LOT tighter...

His name is on every Government supplement check they will receive. Wait until we hear him bragging about saving the American worker. And they'll buy it.

He has plenty of time to put on his tights and cape and come flying in to save America. That will be his message and it will sell to his people. They hate Democrats and other Liberals enough to forgive him for killing a couple of hundred thousand. All he has to do is convince the red hat crowd that most who died were us.

Even magats. His support is eroding as I type this. Those places slow to react to this pandemic or haven't reacted at all will reap the whirl wind. It's a mathematical certainty. Viruses don't give a shit what your politics is or your religion or your region. To them an evangelical magat in Missouri is as much a piece of meat to replicate in as a New York liberal. New York is competently doing everything they can to stop it. I have far less faith in governors like Kemp of GA, Lee of TN, Abbott of TX and others. They're hacks for the most part an will collapse under the weight. And their states will suffer.

His fake government will screw up the supplement checks. Many will be unemployed and perhaps unemployable, at least in the short term. Restaurants and travel to name just two are going to take a long time to come back. The U.S. will be a shithole country in November.

and their buddy from high school. And one of the parents or grandparents. The states in his base acted ridiculously slow to the outbreak. Some are still open for business like nothing is happening. They're not stopping it. They're not even slowing it down. The fire will burn hot in those places in the weeks to come and the only thing on most minds will be who's to blame. Mark it down.
