16 Shelby County churches accused of violating 'Safer at Home' order

WTF is it with these people? 😳🤯

The Shelby County Health Department checked on all the churches but said only some of them were not in compliance with the order.

“We’re treating churches just as we’re treating all other nonessential businesses,” said Dr. Bruce Randolph with the health department said.

Oh boy, that statement is likely to set the crazies off about nonessential.

Shelby County is Memphis area.

Why do they pride themselves on being so stubborn? Why is that such a source of pride for so many? And why do they value such a deadly sin such as pride, as a good thing, in the first place? Why do they have to be such jerks about things?

And why do they have such a need to flock together? 😳🤯

Every time I run out of something & think of running to store, as per usual, I stop & ask myself if it is worth risking my life for. 100% no.

Another strong woman speaks. From the same source as the OP:

Excerpt:

Shelby County District Attorney General Amy Weirich said violating state and local orders will get people jail time and a fine as outlined by state law. One person already has pending charges for violating the state and local executive order to stay home.

"The police are going to be and must enforce this law," Weirich said. "Stay at home. Stop the spread. Follow the law."
+++
"What we want people to understand is that when the governor of the state issues an executive order, when both of our mayors issue orders pleading with everyone to stay home, it’s serious business," Weirich said. It's so serious that not doing so can get you arrested for a class A misdemeanor.

"If people are not going to listen, if people are going to put themselves at risk, other people at risk, law enforcement at risk, then the only answer we have is to follow the law and prosecute these offenders," Weirich said. "A class A misdemeanor is the most serious misdemeanor there is."
