Former Vice President Joe Biden is leading President Donald Trump by 8 points among voters nationwide, according to a new Quinnipiac University poll released on Wednesday.
The survey shows Biden with the support of 49 percent of voters, while Trump trails at 41 percent. The former vice president also leads Trump with key voting blocs, including independents, women and black voters, according to the poll.

(9,998 posts)As someone in CA, it does not matter to me that Biden is probably ahead by 35% here. What matters is how close the swing states are. I hope that Biden is comfortably ahead there.

(35,354 posts)This election is about 5 states, PA, FLA, OH, WISC, and MI. Whoever wins all 5 wins the presidency. If they split, then it gets dicey.

(4,448 posts)I suspect that inner cities dealing with Covid are going to be surging D, while the rural areas largely unaffected are going to be surging R.
I wish someone would model that against how our elections are actually held.
