(7,486 posts)Just saw on local Mi. paper website a nearby prison went from 119 cases to over 600. Don't think that was in official Mi. tally.

(7,153 posts)!. If states aren't staffed to read tests 24/7, inevitably there will be fall-offs in test reporting Sat-Mon (and in some cases Tues) catching up towards the end of the week ((if the backlog isn't growing)).
2. I don't know if some states delayed reporting updates yesterday to give Thump a "new stuff is declining" moment. Over the last TWO days, JHU's late afternoon count of cases increased by 47K, deaths by 4.5K.
My suggestion: Please make your own copy of statistics published daily, at the same time each day, so you can check it for yourself.
((P.S. Some of the biggest publicized threats right now may be in nursing homes and around meatpacking plants.))
((And some fear the Marion County OH prison outbreak might herald upcoming attractions in their own states.))
