FRANKFORT, Ky. Its no joke Tupac Shakur lives in Kentucky and needs unemployment benefits to pay his bills.
Shakurs name was brought up by Gov. Andy Beshear on Monday night as he spoke about prank claims slowing down unemployment payments, including one filed under the name of the late rapper Tupac Shakur.
The Lexington Herald-Leader reports the claim by Tupac Malik Shakur, who goes by Malik, is legitimate. He worked as a cook in Lexington until coronavirus restrictions shut down restaurants.

Meanwhile, Beshear personally called Shakur and apologized. Shakur forgave the governor, saying he understands and that mistakes happen.

(9,958 posts)What are you hearing about the Senate race? How is Amy McGrath viewed, and what do you think of her chances of winning? I keep seeing polls that she is close to McConnells numbers, but somehow McConnell always seems to win. Would love to hear your opinions on this race. Do you think Beshears current approvals will carry over to Democrats in November? I despise McConnell and hope for his demise in November.

(9,291 posts)but I dont think Amy is a strong candidate. However, I just moved here it a few years back. However I dont know any one who likes McConnell, so I dont understand how he wins.

(9,958 posts)McConnells approval ratings are usually somewhere in the low to mid 30%, but somehow he manages to win. Part of his votes come from the many rural areas of the state, but Ive long suspected some hefty cheating along the way, like buying votes and promising big favors to area leaderslike ensuring a federal project goes through land they ownwho then get behind McConnell and help him get elected.

I work very hard to be gracious about it.

It happens.
