Jail would be my first choice for this cabal, but penniless and living in one of Jared's slum buildings runs a close second.

There is still hope that they will ALL do time, AND be the poor little broke people they actually are. If you are constantly having to shuffle the money pots to stay afloat, you ARE broke.

He is phony......He pretends he is a Billionaire, but it's all fake. That's why he doesn't want his tax returns to see the light of day. Everyone would know, after seeing his tax returns, that he is the epitome of a CON man AND a criminal enterprise.

A HERETIC I AM
(24,321 posts)I put this OP up because I thought it was funny. It wasn't meant as an exercise in legal theory.
Your response # 4 seemed to be a bit of a finger wag, but it's not a big deal.

(33,915 posts)But the ligitation referenced is civil - so the reference to jail time doesn't match the article content.
Unfortunately, too many people don't understand the distinction, would be cheering with glee at the though of the losers being locked up, and will pass it on to their friends. And pretty soon we get a deserved reputation for being as bad about falling for fake news as the Republicans.

(3,453 posts)Given this crew, they're probably probably up to their eyeballs in misdeeds that could subject them to both civil liability and criminal prosecution, but we don't have enough details.
Ms. Toad
(33,915 posts)Not all civil fraud creates criminal liabilty.
I would not be surprised if there was enough for criminal liability - but the court document linked to did not give sufficient information. And, my main goal was to point out the distinction in remedies/penalties between a civil case and a criminal one - since the person tweeting apparently did not know the difference (and it was posted here - where others may also not know the difference).
